SF 7th Graders Kick off 99th Annual Race

Over 1,805 seventh graders from ten different San Francisco Middle Schools participated in the ING Run for Something Better Program, which is an accredited charity dedicated to preventing childhood obesity by making fitness opportunities available in schools. The seventh graders ran for thirteen weeks straight covering a total distance of 156 miles. Their training culminated in a 4k run, or 'mini' ING Bay to Breakers, which took place in Golden Gate Park on Thursday, May 13th and kicked off the 99th annual race.
