FREE Group Training Sessions
ING Bay to Breakers and sponsorship partners Focus-N-Fly will offer group training runs in San Francisco in preparation for the annual 12K footrace. The training runs are free and open to the public.
There will be training courses ranging from 2 miles to 8 miles to accommodate the varied fitness levels of trainees.
Participants will have the opportunity to train with widely experienced and nationally recognized coaches. Focus-N-Fly will also host a clinic once a month following the group runs. The monthly clinics will offer a Q&A with coaches and Olympic development athletes and will help prepare participants for race day. All runners are welcome regardless of ability level.

A Great Deal on a Great Training Program
“By providing training powered by Focus-N-Fly, we hope to enhance the experience of our running competitors, as well as first time ING Bay to Breakers participants,” said Angela Fang, race director, ING Bay to Breakers. “We hope that this leading edge training resource will help more runners take on the challenge and succeed at this one-of-a-kind footrace.”
ING Bay to Breakers encourages group run participants to take part in the Focus-N-Fly training system, which they are offering at an exclusive price. The Focus-N-Fly training program uses individual parameters to deliver a completely personalized regimen and adapts to each participant’s fitness level, as they enter training log details and run/time trial results so that paces, progression and variance adapt accordingly.
