Soler, Yaz, Conforto and Fitzgerald all hit solo home runs in this weeks homestand. The highlight of the week was catcher Patrick Bailey who called “game” on Friday nightwith a 3 run home run into right field that signaled an early start to the evening’s fireworks show!
Extra Base Challenge Weekly Distance: 12 miles
Thairo Estrada, Matt Chapman and Michael Conforto all had multiple extra base hits for the week. The Giants scored multiple runs in every game this calendar week!

Home Run Challenge Weekly Distance: 5 miles
Some pretty special home runs this week! Jorge Soler proved that the Oracle Park lights are truly “Soler Power” with a solo deep into the Left Field Bleachers. Jung Hoo Lee hit his first Oracle Park home run to the delight of his fan club. Undoubtedly, the highlight was Patrick Bailey’s 407ft splash hit home run that landed in a tandem kayak!
Extra Base Challenge Weekly Distance: 21 miles
Matt Chapman, Jorge Soler and Patrick Bailey all had multiple extra base hits. With all three Giants hitting at least one double and home run this week!
Strike Out Challenge Weekly Distance: 31 miles
Exactly 50K’s again this week! Strong work from our starters Jordan Hicks, Logan Webb and Kyle Harrison who were all throwing strikes with individual 5K games each. However, the most notable effort this week was closer Camilo Doval who had 6K’s in just over 3 innings pitched with no hits, no earned runs and two saves!

Thairo Estrada piled on 2 home runs in a single game with Chapman, Soler and Wade Jr all contributing 1 home run each in the same game!
Extra Base Challenge Weekly Distance: 16 miles
LaMonte Wade Jr, Patrick Bailey, Jorge Soler and Thairo Estrada all had multiple extra base hits for the week! The highlight was undoubtedly the 11-2 win against the Rays that contributed 9 extra base hits in a single game!
Strike Out Challenge Weekly Distance: 31 miles
Jordan Hicks continued to dominate with his second win for the season. Logan Webb tallied up his first win for the season too!

Home Run Challenge Weekly Distance: 6 miles
Jorge Soler and Michael Conforto both contributed 2 Home Runs this week, with Jung Hoo Lee celebrating his first ever MLB Home Run in his opening week of the regular season.
Extra Base Challenge Weekly Distance: 15 miles
Michael Conforto featured again in the extra base hits category with a total of 5 extra base hits for the week! Undoubtedly, the most exciting though, was Thairo Estrada’s game-winning walk off double in the Giants home opener that drove home a sliding Matt Chapman to seal a 3-2 win!

Home Run Challenge Weekly Distance: 8 miles
Tom Murphy hit two solo home runs in the Giants final Spring Training outing against the A’s. New Giant’s third baseman Matt Chapman also homered twice in the Giant’s first win of the 2024 Regular Season. Chapman put an exclamation point on his second home run, which landed in the upper deck at Petco Park!
Extra Base Challenge Weekly Distance: 16 miles
There were four Giants who stood out in Extra Base Hitting – Michael Conforto, Tom Murphy and Matt Chapman. All of these Giants each had multiple extra base hits in a single game and kept the runs flowing, with Chapman’s 2 x Homeruns and 1 x Double driving in 5 RBI’s in our first win of the regular season!
Strike Out Challenge Weekly Distance: 29 miles
Our starting pitchers continued to do the damage this week. Jordan Hicks 10 K’s, 1 Walk, No Hits in 5 innings pitched was a standout performance! Kyle Harrison two starts (6 K’s and 5 K’s respectively) were both commanding with the latter providing the Giants first regular-season win.

Home Run Challenge Weekly Distance: 8 miles
Matt Chapman homered twice this week in addition to his outstanding defensive work in the field! Rookie Marco Luciano went deep for the first time in Spring Training with a Home Run so big it hit the jumbotron and elicited a priceless reaction from teammate Jung Hoo Lee who proclaimed it “The most wonderful homerun he’s seen in his baseball career!”
Extra Base Challenge Weekly Distance: 33 miles
The Giants doubled down on their extra base hitting this week with an astounding 20 doubles in a single week! Mike Yaztremski contributed with 3, including 2 in a single game comeback from 10-0 down to win 12-13 against the Cubs. Soler, Flores, Matos, Estrada, Mungia and Luciano all had a week with multiple extra base hits. Wilmer Flores leads the entire MLB in doubles hit, piling on 7 doubles in Spring Training so far, while Luis Matos is leading the MLB in extra base hits with 10 so far in Spring Training – 6 doubles and 4 home runs!
Strike Out Challenge Weekly Distance: 55 miles
With the signing of Blake Snell this week the focus was definitely on our pitchers. Giants pitchers didn’t disappoint, and had an astounding 89 strike outs in a single week! With Logan Webb (11 K’s), Jordan Hicks (6 K’s), Kyle Harrison (5 K’s) the addition of Snell makes for an imposing Giants pitching lineup coming into the Regular Season.

The Giants continued to pound in extra base hits! Luis Matos had a phenomenal week crushing 4 Doubles! With 3 Giants (Matos, Flores & Villar) in the MLB top 10 for Extra Base Hits during Spring Training we are bound to have some runners with tired legs after this week. Newly-signed Giant Matt Chapman also had his first double of Spring Training.
Strike Out Challenge Weekly Distance: 30 miles
The stand out performance this week was new-signing Jordan Hicks who flamed 6 batters in 3 innings with no hits against the A’s.

100 Splash Hit Hero, Lamonte Wade hit his first Home Run in Spring Training. But, with 2 games rained out in Scottsdale, we had a few less home runs this week. The 3 Home Runs all came against the Guardians and secured the Giants a tight 6-5 Win!
Extra Bases: 3 home runs / 12 doubles
Extra Base Challenge Weekly Distance: 15 miles
Doubles were the theme for this week’s Extra Base Challenge runners! Bats were on fire in a high scoring 13-8 Win against the Brewers, where the Giants hit a whopping 6 Doubles in a single game. Wilmer Flores contributed 2 doubles and brought his ‘Friends’ Wade, Conforto, Murphy & Diaz along who all chalked up a 2B each to contribute to a solid team win.

Strike Out Challenge Weekly Distance: 34 miles
Our Strike Out Challenge runners had two stand out performers Logan Webb & Kyle Harrison who each flamed 6 batters in their respective starts. Harrison’s 6Ks came in only 2 and 2/3 innings in a dominant start against the Dodgers!

As we swing into Spring Training, our Home Run Challenge runners have some distance to cover thanks in part to Luis Matos whose offseason training earned him 3 home runs in the first week of games. JD Davis also hit multiple home runs and Jung Hoo Lee launched his first MLB home run in his second Spring Training game.

Extra Base Challenge Weekly Distance: 18 miles
Our Extra Base Challenge runners will find themselves logging extra miles this week, thanks again to Luis Matos who had four extra base hits. David Villar added an extra two doubles and young outfield speedsters Jung Hoo Lee and Wade Meckler also contributed to the tally with a double and stand-up triple, respectively.
